The conference creates space for dialogue about experiences of activism and work within the NGO sector on the Western Balkans, as well as the achievements and challenges of the shared struggle for LGBTIQ+ rights. The panel will bring together representatives and organizers of Pride marches from across the Western Balkans as part of the conference Western Balkans are queer, which will take place before the opening of the exhibition “A Parade Throughout the Balkans”.. The discussion explores how Pride marches contribute to the development of democracy in local contexts and reflects on the current state of the struggle for LGBTIQ+ rights across the region.
