
BALKAN PRIDES AT THE CORE OF DEMOCRACY

A panel discussion with representatives of organisations that organise Pride marches in their respective countries. The panel will open a space to discuss the development of Pride marches, their impact on society and the challenges faced by organisers.

The panel will take place just before the opening of the exhibition on the history of Pride marches in the Balkans, in which the speakers are also involved.
Accessibility
Location and entrance
- The entrance is located from the front of the building, through a flight of stairs leading up to City Hall, building number 3 on Mestni trg.

- The accessible entrance is located on the left side of the stairs, through a big wooden door. These doors need to be opened by a card, so please, upon arriving – let us know that you would like to use the accessible path. The contact details are at the end of the accessibility description.

Architectural accessibility
- There are several stone steps leading up to the City Hall’s main entrance.
- The accessible entrance will take you through an administrative entrance corridor, where you will need to take an automatic wheelchair lift and an elevator to the exhibition’s space.
- The accessible toilets are located on the first floor, with access through an elevator and another wheelchair lift.
Language and communication
- Language of the event: Slovene and English.
- Organisers will be able to communicate in Slovene and English.
- There will be no sign language interpreters present.
Signing up
- The event does not require a signup.
- During the event you might be asked to sign a participation list.
Sensory conditions
- There will be seats for participants.
- The panelists will use microphones.
- The panel will take place in the same event space as the exhibition opening later. You might be asked to leave the space afterwards, so the organisers could rearrange the space.

Quiet space
- There is no designated quiet space during the event.

- Artur will open the accessible entrance and be a contact person throughout the event in case of any needs concerning mobility around the event’s space.
- Please keep in mind that the organisers are not able to provide complex personal assistance throughout the whole event. The possible assistance is only relevant to navigating the venue.
