SUMMARY:BALKAN PRIDES AT THE CORE OF DEMOCRACY
DESCRIPTION:A panel discussion with representatives of organisations that organise Pride marches in their respective countries. The panel will open a space to discuss the development of Pride marches\, their impact on society and the challenges faced by organisers. \nSpeakers:\n\nJelena Kravljača (BiH Pride\, Bosnia and Herzegovina)\nAleksa Savić (COME OUT\, Srbija)\nRaf Koshevec (Coalition MARGINS\, North Macedonia)\nStaša Baštrica (Queer Montenegro\, Montenegro)\nSimona Muršec (Ljubljana Pride\, Slovenia)\nAdrijana Kos (MKC Maribor\, Slovenia)\n\nThe panel will take place just before the opening of the exhibition on the history of Pride marches in the Balkans\, in which the speakers are also involved. \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Accessibility\n				Location and entrance\n\nThe entrance is located from the front of the building\, through a flight of stairs leading up to City Hall\, building number 3 on Mestni trg.\nOpen the exact location of the entrance – link.\nThe accessible entrance is located on the left side of the stairs\, through a big wooden door. These doors need to be opened by a card\, so please\, upon arriving – let us know that you would like to use the accessible path. The contact details are at the end of the accessibility description.\nOpen the exact location of the accessible entrance – link.\n\nArchitectural accessibility\n\nThere are several stone steps leading up to the City Hall’s main entrance.\nThe accessible entrance will take you through an administrative entrance corridor\, where you will need to take an automatic wheelchair lift and an elevator to the exhibition’s space.\nThe accessible toilets are located on the first floor\, with access through an elevator and another wheelchair lift.\n\nLanguage and communication\n\nLanguage of the event: Slovene and English.\nOrganisers will be able to communicate in Slovene and English.\nThere will be no sign language interpreters present.\n\nSigning up\n\nThe event does not require a signup.\nDuring the event you might be asked to sign a participation list.\n\nSensory conditions\n\nThere will be seats for participants.\nThe panelists will use microphones.\nThe panel will take place in the same event space as the exhibition opening later. You might be asked to leave the space afterwards\, so the organisers could rearrange the space.\nThe entrance to the venue through the accessible entrance is only \n\nQuiet space\n\nThere is no designated quiet space during the event.\n\nContact person\n\nBefore and during the event you can contact Artur\, a volunteer with prior accessibility experience. Artur will be able to communicate with you in English\, or find a gallery employee to talk to you in Slovene.\nArtur will open the accessible entrance and be a contact person throughout the event in case of any needs concerning mobility around the event’s space.\nPlease keep in mind that the organisers are not able to provide complex personal assistance throughout the whole event. The possible assistance is only relevant to navigating the venue.
