Community day: Collage of Democracy
✨ Join us for an open, creative community gathering about democracy, hope and collective imagination.
📅 The event will be taking place on June 6th 2026, between 2 and 7 PM at Hana Karim Studio.
👯We will be exploring how these topics affect us on a personal and political level in our daily lives through zine, banner, blackout poetry and collage-making. All the activities will be happening simultaneously and you’re welcome to move between them freely.
🖼️ With the permission of the participants we plan to exhibit the final products at Pride village.
Besides the creative workstations there will also be two info points about two of Ljubljana Pride association’s active projects:
- 🏚️ SQVOT infopoint, where you can get acquainted with the support services we offer to LGBTIQ+ asylum seekers and refugees, LGBTIQ+ individuals experiencing homelessness and/or housing exclusion, and LGBTIQ+ targets of hate speech and hate crime
- ⚒️ Precarity infopoint, where you can get information and advice as a young queer person navigating the precarious job market, check your knowledge of worker’s rights, share your good or bad experiences and apply to our next training on these topics!
☀️ Throughout the event you can hang out, connect and exchange ideas in a cosy corner with food and snacks. We invite you to also bring along a musical instrument.

Accessibility
Location and entrance:
- The event will be held in Ljubljana Pride’s office and in the courtyard adjacent to the building.
- The entrance is located on the side of the building number 10 on Dunajska street. Enter through the brown wooden door on the side of the building.

- The courtyard is accessible through the window of the office (high steps) or from the other side of building number 3 on Vilharjeva street. Enter through the ramp on Vilharjeva street.

Architectural accessibility
- The inside space is accessible through steps to the building, and the corridor has 1-2 steps throughout it, and on the way to the bathroom.
- There is a portable wheelchair ramp, and it is possible to use it to get inside.
- The toilet is small and does not have accessibility amenities.
- The workshop stations will be held at tables with chairs, there is the possibility to choose your own place, and also sit on the floor, outside or inside. Additional chairs and pillows can be provided, if needed.
- The outside parking lot has a mostly flat concrete surface, with some cracks and unevenness. Inside there can be a small doorstep.
Language and communication
- Language of the event: Slovene and English.
- Organisers will be able to communicate in Slovene and English.
- There will be no sign language interpreters present.
- It’s possible to use a voice to text app or a translator on the phone to communicate with the organisers.
- During the event there will be a designated safe person – Anja Rupnik – who will be able to assist if you need anyone to talk to, report an incident, ask for support.
Signing up
- The event does not require a signup.
- During the event you might be asked to sign a participation list.
Sensory conditions
- The whole event is planned for several hours, and you are invited to come at the start, or later, and be there as long or as short as you wish.
- There will be different creative stations where you will be able to participate in manual activities (collaging, zine-making, blackout poetry) and a banner-making station outside.
- The event will be held inside and outside. You can choose the place to sit, either closer or further away from the speaker and other people.
- There will be info points of the SQVOT programme and the precarity program, where you can meet our team and ask questions and talk to us. You can also come to the event and hang out with your friends or by yourself.
- There will be a chillout space with free snacks and water.
- There might be background music playing in the event’s space.
- There will be no microphones used.

- There is no designated quiet space during the event.
