The digital age offers numerous opportunities for social progress, but at the same time it also reproduces — and sometimes even deepens — existing biases, including homophobia and transphobia. Artificial intelligence systems, often perceived as neutral, reflect discriminatory patterns present in the data they are trained on.

During the workshop, we will examine how algorithms, social media moderation tools, and digital platforms affect the visibility, safety, and representation of LGBTIQ+ people. Through concrete examples, we will address ethical challenges in technology development and explore ways to create a more inclusive digital environment. The workshop will also highlight the role of activism at the intersection of technology and LGBTIQ+ human rights.
